Bio
Kerry was born in Louisville, Kentucky and he received his bachelor’s degree in history cum laude at Western Kentucky University where he was a member of the history honors program. He earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Kentucky. While in law school he was a member of the University of Kentucky’s National Moot Court Team that went to the national championship round of the 1988-89 National Moot Court Competition held at and sponsored by the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Kerry also was the recipient of the Leland Award for Best Oral Argument during intra-school moot court competition at the University of Kentucky.
Kerry serves as a deacon at his church and he is a past board member of Family Service Society, which is a United Way Agency. He served three terms as chair of the Kentucky Bar Association Attorneys’ Advertising Commission. Kerry is a past president of the McCracken County Bar Association.
